Recommended Resources

When you’re a writer, what better topic to write about than writing? It’s what you do. But there are a lot of writers and a lot of books on writing. The following suggested writing-related books (assuming, of course, that you’ve already read 7 Million Words: Writing and Selling Nonfiction) are in my opinion some of the best. I’ll be adding other categories, and other titles, but all of the following titles make for a good starting place for anyone wanting to learn more about the craft.

The Classics
The following two books are the Iliad and the Odyssey of nonfiction writing books:
On Writing Well: The Classic Guide to Writing Nonfiction by William Zinsser.
The Elements of Style by William Strunk, Jr. and E.B. White
